AVI Moldova invites you to take part in summer workcamps!
What is a workcamp about? It is a unique form of volunteering, bringing together people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds to live and work together with local communities for a period of two to three weeks. Work during a workcamp will be non-profit and voluntary work will never be a replacement or alternative to paid professional work.
If you are interested to participate or if there are any questions about the projects, please send a mail to placement@avimd.org and ask about application procedure.
We invite you to see the short description of some projects bellow:

Volunteers can visit monastery Gracanica, GracanicaLake and Bear Sanctuary which is nearby the lake. They will also have an opportunity to learn something about self-defense art of ninjutsu.

HORS TRIBU FESTIVAL (Môtiers NE, Switzerland, 29 July – 13 August 2016)
Topic:Art, culture and local history
International age:18 - 24
Required Language:English
Description: The main purpose of the association is to organize a yearly music festival. Organizers need a lot of time for this tiny festival, because they want to do by themselves every part of it, which is an alternative way to stay free from sponsors and economic rules. They work on a voluntary basis, except of course for the artists and main technicians. Finally the festival looks like a nice “handmade” event. The base of this association is to enjoy a wide spectrum of music styles, food and create a place where people can meet in a very friendly atmosphere.
Type of Work: You will have the opportunity to work on all jobs: structures, kitchen, decoration, etc. The first day you will set up the circus tent, and then install toilets, tents, lights, and the decoration of the site. Each job is supervised by a skilled volunteer from the organization. During the festival, you can still help, but you should take a break and enjoy the festival.
Study Theme: As we are a very small organization working without sponsors, we often talk about "small is beautiful" and "de-growth" or anti-capitalist themes. Ecology is also a main idea. We often compare the difference between political and social life in different countries. These discussions take place often during meals, transports, every day.
Accommodation: You will sleep in dormitories that are specially installed in the gym of the local school. They are fitted with mattresses, shower (mainly with cold water!) and toilets. Be aware of that it might get chilly sometimes overnight.
Requirements: Rain and warm clothes, solid shoes, sleeping bag
