Declaration of Solidarity with EarthHour 2010 by AVI Moldova
AVI Moldova exprims its solidarity with the international event - EarthHour
(http://oraplanetei2010.wordpress.com), an initiative of WWF (www.wwf.org), which makes an appeal to the people who aren’t indifferent toward the disastrous situation of the ecology on the Planet.
We believe that unstopable polution of the environment, dubled by a ferocious use of the energetical resources based on fosile, like oil and coal, beyound the profound negative impact on natural environment, playes an important role as a starting point in the beginning of new military conflicts and wars. These representing the cause of huge human lifes and material loss, specially for poor and undeveloped states, making them, thus, more poor and more underdeveloped.
We believe that the present situation is an inadmisible one, and the prolongation of the present problems doesn’t create nothing but worsening even more the state of “no - future” for our planet. Urgent and imediate actions are necessary to change the present situation and correct the ecological balance of the Humanity.
We believe that the transformation must begin with civil society and individuals, in particular, which don’t feel enstrangered from the Planet state, aren’t apathic or to adopt a state of indifference regarding the present situation.
In this order of ideas any action aiming to protect the natural environment contains also a pacifict and anti-militarist core, peace building and enforce of the civil society instruments, promotes a creative and proactive attitude towards problems affecting us all, not regarding to race, skin, language or religion.
We are making an appeal and encouraging members and volunteers of AVI Moldova, but also the partners of the Association to vote for Planets future on the 27th of March 2010, between 20:30 - 21:30 deconecting any non-vital sources of electric consume along with the lights for one hour.
Only together we can make the difference!!!
